Saint-Barthélemy (70): a 14-year-old teenager on a scooter deliberately hit by a 17-year-old motorist after an altercation. His life is "very serious"

A 14-year-old boy is between life and death after being deliberately hit by an underage driver, police announced Sunday. Knocked down Saturday afternoon while riding a scooter in the town of Saint-Barthélémy (Haute-Saône), the boy was airlifted to hospital "with a very serious life threatening condition," according to police.

The driver, a 17-year-old driver with a valid driving license, was taken into custody, and the three other occupants of the car were questioned as witnesses. An "altercation" had taken place earlier in the day, the police said.
